Victoria Crone, Xero NZ and global managing director, congratulated BDO South Africa on securing the partnership with Xero, highlighting successful existing relationships with other firms in the BDO global network.
“BDO is a great partner to Xero in New Zealand and our other main markets, so I’m really excited by the opportunity this expanded relationship will bring, and I look forward to hearing about the growth potential that Xero delivers for South African small businesses,” she said.
According to Ms Crone, the partnership shows Xero’s global ambitions are paying off.
“Today’s announcement shows we are truly a global solution and also shows that the right software paired with the right advice is an unstoppable force for driving business transformation,” Crone adds.
Lionel Higgo, partner at BDO South Africa and BDO South Africa’s Xero project lead, said the firm is very excited to be Xero’s first African platinum partner.
“We have seen first-hand the results that Xero produces for clients globally and are keen to share in those successes with our own clients locally in South Africa as well as [with] Namibia, Botswana and Zambia where our offices there are also using Xero,” Mr Higgo said.
