According to the firm, an opportunity to develop greater financial and business understanding between agricultural professionals across Australia is the driving force behind the partnership.
The Agribusiness Association of Australia is a peak body that facilitates communication across the “agri-food chain” and promotes the contributions of agribusiness to the Australian economy and community as a whole.
Commenting after the announcement, Anne Lockwood, BDO's national leader for food and agribusiness, stated that the partnership seeks to complement the national presence of the firm.
“From production to processing and all points in between, we speak with business leaders every day about their operations, key issues and how they can make better-informed business decisions,” added Ms. Lockwood.
The announcement follows Ms Lockwood's recent appointment of as BDO’s national leader for food and agribusiness.
Ms Lockwood has previously been lauded by BDO national chairman Helen Argiris for her vast experience and technical skill regarding the agricultural, food and wine sectors.
