Prominent mid-tier firm Bentleys has announced a further expansion within the Australian market, striking a new deal with a well-established firm.

By Staff Reporter 10 minute read

Bentleys announced a Gold Coast expansion through a partnership with local firm The MBA Partnership.

According to Bentleys, the move into the Gold Coast market is part of the network’s broader strategic growth plans, in particular its goal to deliver a wider geographical service by increasing the company’s presence in regional areas.

Mark Chapman, CEO of Bentleys, said: “We are very pleased to welcome The MBA Partnership into the Bentleys network and we look forward to seeing local Gold Coast clients benefit as a result of this partnership. The synergies between MBA and Bentleys in terms of our commitment to providing best practice advice and accounting services for SMEs made this a positive move for both firms."

He added: “Our established presence in Brisbane has successfully serviced not only the local market but also regional Queensland, where we have seen a particular growth in the agri-business market. We believe this is a developing area for our business and the recent addition of our Sunshine Coast and now our Gold Coast offices is a recognition of this."

Bentleys confirmed to AccountantsDaily that the Gold Coast operation will continue to operate under its existing name of The MBA Partnership, capitalising on the strong brand that has already been built in the region.

In a statement regarding the partnership, MBA indicated that there would be “no immediate impact” on existing clients.

Speaking about the partnership, Geoff Missen, director of The MBA Partnership, said he was excited by the opportunities it presented for both clients and staff.

“We have a solid history in this market and are very proud of our strong relationships with clients. While our clients will still be dealing with the MBA staff they know and trust, we can now offer even more to them in terms of expanded expertise. We are essentially a trusted local brand with a strong national and international backing.”

He added: “Bentleys has established themselves as trusted advisers in the SME space, and they have also developed strong expertise within areas such as aged care, R&D, agribusiness and SMSFs.

“Through this partnership, we can collaborate with the wider network – which benefits not only clients, but our staff as well."
