William Buck has established a business recovery offering, with Laurie Fitzgerald being appointed to lead the division, along with consultant Michael Humphries, who both previously worked at Grant Thornton.

"The creation of this division now allows William Buck to offer business recovery services across the Eastern seaboard," the firm said.

William Buck has also appointed former PwC executive Rita Choueiri as the senior manager of research and development in Melbourne.

"Rita’s skill set is particularly sought after in the manufacturing sector in which William Buck specialises, giving the firm a significant advantage in providing advice and services to clients in this sector," the firm said.

These service line expansions have also seen a number of senior level appointments across the group’s three core services areas of business advisory, audit and assurance and tax.

In business advisory, Ronald Arnold (NSW) has been promoted to director and Dan Mills (NSW) to principal.

"Accompanied by the external appointment of Diana Dimitrov (Vic), these promotions provide additional support for our growing base of middle-market clients," the firm stated.

Further, the tax team has seen the promotion of two new directors, Jonathon Larosa (VIC) and Craig Barry (Qld).

In the audit division, three new principals have been appointed: Rainer Ahrens (NSW), Domenic Molluso (NSW) and Mathew Monaghan (Qld).

"William Buck has started the new financial year with a bang," said Melbourne managing director Lindsay Hollaway.

"Investing in our people ensures our capability is at the highest level, which has already generated organic growth that will no doubt continue to flourish with the appointment of our new senior staff members."
