Now in its third year, the Australian Accounting Awards, partnered by Reckon, have been developed to recognise excellence right across the accounting sector.
The response to last year’s event was "staggering", according to AccountantsDaily publisher Terry Braithwaite.
AccountantsDaily received a record number of submissions in 2015, and anticipates an even greater response this year.
"We were inundated with submissions in 2015, and awards recipients represented a great cross-section of the accounting industry," Mr Braithwaite said.
"This is a big industry; there are so many outstanding professionals and firms across the spectrum. Both finalists and winners benefit hugely from the recognition they receive at these awards having a direct impact on both attracting and retaining clients and reinforcing referral relationships. I encourage individuals and firms to put themselves forward for this valuable opportunity," he added.
Reckon’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Sam Allert, said Reckon is proud to support the awards in their third year as principal partner.
"The Australian Accounting Awards highlight the important work in which accountants and bookkeepers are involved and they represent a marker of the strength of the accounting industry," he said.
"We encourage industry professionals to nominate themselves, a colleague or their firm in the only national accounting awards program that recognises excellence across the sector.
"Judging by the calibre of last year's entrants, they should be hotly contested again in 2016."
