Brisbane firm Hanrick Curran said in a statement that it has appointed John Kotzur as a new managing partner, taking the reins from Mark Sheridan.
Mr Sheridan will assume the firm’s newly created administration partner role, the statement said.
Hanrick Curran also announced that Michael Georghiou and Vincent Shi have both been promoted to partner roles, bringing its partnership group to 12 members.
Mr Georghiou has over 20 years’ experience in audit, assurance and business advisory, and joined Hanrick Curran in 2011.
“Michael is a great asset to Hanrick Curran,” Mr Kotzur said.
“His disciplines in audit and business advisory are of value to the collective group and his propensity to collaborate is highly regarded.”
Mr Shi joined Hanrick Curran nine years ago as a graduate, and has specialised in attracting and servicing Chinese investors acquiring interests in Queensland property and agribusiness.
“The firm has nurtured and supported Vincent’s talents to ensure he capitalises on the cross-border opportunities,” Mr Kotzur said.
“These are enhanced by our international membership in Alliott Group and their in-house tax consulting expertise.”
Other moves include Hanrick Curran’s creation of a consulting division, led by director Angela Winton, and the addition of marketing manager Lara Lonsdale to the firm’s management team.
