The Australian Accounting Awards, now in its third year, is an industry event designed to recognise excellence across the accounting sector.
A significant number of applications have already been received for this year's awards, according to the publisher of AccountantsDaily Terry Braithwaite.
“There are many outstanding professionals and firms in the accounting industry, and these awards provide an opportunity for these individuals to gain recognition from both their peers and their clients,” said Mr Braithwaite.
“This sort of recognition directly benefits firms by helping them attract and retain quality staff, and gives them the confidence to build strong referral relationships with other firms.”
With over 23 award categories on offer, Mr Braithwaite said he strongly encourages industry professionals to nominate either themselves or their colleagues.
The event itself will be a black-tie function on 14 October at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.
