Frustrated by what he believes is “silence” on this issue of board remuneration disclosure, NSW-based accountant and CPA Australia member Brett Stevenson, who is leading a group of members seeking change with the association’s leadership, is looking to meet with Mr Joyce to escalate his plight.

“The... attitude of the current board and leadership in dealing with these issues is driving us to do whatever is necessary to force them,” Mr Stevenson told Accountants Daily.

“We have a lot of things planned in terms of action... contacting our members of parliament is one of the first cabs off the rank,” he said.

“There is no way we want to be left wondering ‘what if,’” he added.

This is the latest in a string of pushes from the rebel group, including a petition requesting a statement disclosing the remuneration paid to each of the directors of CPA Australia and its subsidiaries.

Mr Stevenson also received a copy of CPA Australia’s register of members, albeit without a list of email addresses.
