Intuit Australia has reached 161,000 subscribers from the year in the 12 months to 31 July 2018.
The growth has softened following an 89 per cent spike last year, which saw its subscriber base grow to just over 100,000 in 2017.
Quickbooks Online subscribers worldwide now stand at 3.4 million, after adding 1 million subscribers during FY18.
Intuit Australia vice president and country manager Nicolette Maury attributed the growth to the company’s mobile-first strategy.
“Our local growth is closely aligned to our international growth drivers, specifically in relation to our brand and customer centricity, as well as our product market fit,” said Ms Maury.
“On the product front, we continue to address partner and customers’ needs – thanks to our innovation methodology Design for Delight – which has led to the launch of two key functions: the ability to customise invoices and the capability to reclassify transactions by GST code.
“Our ecosystem goes from strength to strength. Our matchmaking platform that connects accountants with the self-employed and small businesses is building momentum. Each month, we have 1,000 Aussie small businesses searching the platform, leading to around 25 new connections with accountants or bookkeepers – another illustration of how Intuit is helping to build prosperity.”
