David Madigan will now lead Melbourne-based McLean Delmo Bentleys as its new chief executive.
The CPA joins the firm after a short stint as a consultant with commercial law firm Macpherson Kelley.
Mr Madigan was the former managing director and chief financial officer for intellectual property specialists Griffith Hack for over 17 years. He also spent six years in the Victorian Auditor-General’s office as an audit senior.
John Delmo, chair of McLean Delmo Bentleys, said Mr Madigan would help the firm seize opportunities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our business has been in the Melbourne and Victorian market for over 50 years and David will lead it on the next phase of its journey and help shape its future direction,” said Mr Delmo. “David has deep financial skills and a track record for commercially astute leadership.”
Mr Madigan said he was looking forward to growing the firm’s services both locally and internationally amid a challenging environment for businesses.
“The accounting and advisory sector continues to evolve with changes to technology and how we deliver services to clients in a highly competitive environment,” said Mr Madigan.
“In addition, the SME sector has had to respond rapidly to the pandemic and the market challenges that flow from the restrictions and changing market conditions.
“I am delighted to be joining such a proactive and innovative accounting and advisory firm. I look forward to working with the board and partners on future growth initiatives that will enhance our offering to clients.”
