Accodex has merged with Clear Business Dynamics in a move designed to build on the firm’s already strong presence in the cloud accounting space.
Chris Hooper, Accodex CEO, said the merger will allow the firm to continue to deliver innovative services to clients.
“I believe that the accounting firm of the future will be forced to adopt a multifaceted approach to the delivery of business services. This merger is just another step for us in simply pre-empting that,” he said.
“Accodex is already renowned nationally and internationally for its innovation in the accounting sector. This deal will further bolster our internal capabilities and expand the range of services that we will offer our clients.”
Many business owners, he believes, would like to run their company from their mobile phone, but only a very few of them actually know how to.
“By virtue of acquiring Clear Business Dynamics, we basically now have the solution,” he said.
Michael Macolino, Clear Business Dynamics' CEO, believes Accodex’s trajectory aligns well with the objectives of his business.
"The pooling of resources will allow the two companies to further accelerate growth and achieve economies of scale,” he said.
Mr Macolino will join Accodex as chief technology officer.
The parties have agreed to the terms of the acquisition and the merged company will have a combined workforce located in Australia and the US.
Following the merger, a number of prominent names in the start-up community have joined the firm, incuding;
• Jemma Schilling, Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce’s Young Business Person Award winner and former community catalyst at Hub Adelaide
• Tam Nguyen, marketing manager at Clear Business Dynamics and AIESEC president (SA)
• Patrick DeRuvo, entrepreneur and InnovyzStart participant
