The TPB terminated the tax agent registration of Ranjit Dadwal, and will not allow him to re-apply for registration for the next two years.

Mr Dadwal had prior criminal convictions, and did not disclose them in his annual declaration to the TPB.
Further, the AAT found Mr Dadwal’s serious criminal conduct poses a risk to the reputation of registered tax agents.
“This was compounded by a pattern of non-disclosure and false and misleading statements to cover up and downplay the significance of his conduct,” said the TPB in a statement released this morning.
With all these considerations combined, under the Tax Agent Services Act, Mr Dadwal is not considered a fit and proper person.
“The AAT also noted Mr Dadwal’s reluctance to take responsibility for his lack of candour, honesty and integrity in his dealings with regulatory and professional bodies, including the police, Australian Taxation Office, CPA Australia and the TPB,” the TPB said.
