ATOmate announces latest integration partnership with cloud-based document management platform FYI ahead of key lodgment deadline

Promoted by Business Automation Works 4 minute read

Managing ATO correspondence can be a clunky and cumbersome task. It’s a process that requires meticulous care and can take hours away from your administrative and accounting teams each day, but thanks to ATOmate accountants can now process, check, and distribute ATO documentation from the tax office to their clients in a matter of minutes.

Upon receipt of ATO documentation by mail or via the ATO Tax Agent Portal, ATOmate sorts all correspondence, checks if it matches against an estimate from the practice management platform (e.g., Xero Practice Manager), and then either automatically sends it to the client, or flags it for review, depending on rules set by the practice.

Through smart robotic process automation and by leveraging a firm’s existing data and systems, the cloud-based platform can reduce the time spent managing ATO correspondence by over 90%.

Business Automation Works, the team behind ATOmate, have been working tirelessly to provide a comprehensive range of document and practice management integration options for accountants looking to streamline their administrative processes and automate repetitive tasks. The platform’s list of integration partners continues to grow with the announcement of their latest integration with document management provider, FYI

The announcement comes ahead of the next major lodgment deadline which will see firm’s needing to process hundreds of ATO documents and distribute them to clients quickly.

The integration with FYI will allow for a more streamlined approach to drafting, sending, and archiving correspondence by automatically preparing emails and letters, and filing copies of those directly back into the FYI platform - providing a complete and accurate record of what has been communicated.

Clients integrating FYI and ATOmate will significantly reduce data entry, double handling, and opportunities for human error by automating the core components of the ATO document handling process.

Stan Corner, CEO of Business Automation Works, said the company has been working hard to provide comprehensive integrations to leading industry practice and document management platforms.

“With so many communication channels, firm’s need to be able to get these important ATO documents processed and into the hands of clients faster,” Mr Corner said.

“Our latest integration with FYI provides another efficiency gain for cloud-based practices, allowing them to streamline their ATO document processes by leveraging their existing systems, getting important ATO correspondence to clients sooner, and having more time to focus on work that clients truly value.”

The integration between the two platforms is set to be a big win for cloud-based accounting firms.

“We know that the ATO document handling process is time consuming, so having a solution that integrates directly with FYI and Xero PM will dramatically reduce handling time and potential for human error for those cloud-based firms really looking to improve their efficiencies even further,” Mr Corner said.

In addition to the FYI document management integration, ATOmate integrates with a range of complementary industry leading practice management platforms to further streamline ATO document process, including: Xero Practice Manager, Workflow Max, GreatSoft, and others.
