Speaking on the latest Accountants Daily podcast, Mr Greathead said successful start-ups were moving away from the traditional approach of hanging up a shingle and waiting for custom.
“Rather than just relying on whoever comes through the door,” he said, “have clear intentions about the services you will offer.
“You really see a different practitioner out in the workplace, and they're approaching their business model very differently.
“It's very much built with intention in terms of the types of services they offer, the types of clients that they're working with.”
