IPA chief executive officer Andrew Conway said the institute warmly welcomed the prime minister’s recognition of the importance of reducing the tax burden on small business.
“The Prime Minister’s announcement of the small business tax cut aligns directly with the IPA’s Australian Small Business White Paper recommendations and we are pleased to have played a role in the dialogue,” he said.
"The IPA has engaged directly on the issue of small business taxation and the widely held view of the hundreds of small businesses consulted through our Small Business White Paper Summits around the country validates this position."
Mr Conway said the move is encouraging and he looks forward to a continued effort to help small businesses across the country.
“We look forward to continuing our productive work with the Australian government and the Minister for Small Business, The Hon Bruce Billson MP, as well as the opposition and cross-bench members, to advance the issues contained in Australia’s first-ever industry-led Small Business White Paper to ensure that Australia becomes the best place in the world to start and run a small business”, said Mr Conway.
