Broadly speaking, Reckon Australia is currently pursuing partnerships with business-focused networks to improve its reach in the SME community and remain competitive in an otherwise crowded market.
This includes partnerships with AusMumpreneur designed to assist mothers who are flexibly and successfully maintaining their careers.
Managing director Sam Allert said bookkeepers form part of the important market that Reckon is eyeing as it pursues growth.
“Obviously in our competitive space, in accounting software, one big and important channel to market is accountants and bookkeepers, but it is a very competitive space, and I think it’s fair to say it’s quite saturated,” Mr Allert said.
“So we are absolutely working on these types of partnerships to get a wider reach into the small businesses in Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
Speaking to The Bookkeeper, national sales manager at Reckon said some "major announcements" related to the software firm's activity in this space will be made when a series of current and "significant projects" are completed.
"We are committed to supporting the bookkeeping community by introducing specific solutions that bookkeepers can return additional value back to their client bases," he said.
