Deloitte has announced that it has acquired JKVine, a consultancy specialising in platform test management and the running of complex and business critical technology projects.
JKVine’s four owners, Nick Singh, Dave Melgaard, Brad Cunningham, and John Strumila, will join Deloitte Consulting as principals, while JKVine’s 30+ strong team will join Deloitte’s Melbourne and Sydney offices.
The team will form a new platform test and optimisation unit within Deloitte Consulting’s platform engineering practice, which is led by Deloitte Consulting partner and platform engineering leader, Clifford Foster.
Deloitte has chosen not to disclose the details of the acquisition.
“This transaction with JKVine demonstrates Deloitte’s continued determination to remain at the forefront of digital transformation and provide our clients with the expertise and experience to support the delivery of their strategic goals,” said Deloitte Australia chief executive Cindy Hook.
“It complements our previous transactions with Cloud Solutions Group, Strut Digital and Sixtree.”
JKVine founder and managing director, Nick Singh welcomed the move and said it was a natural progression from its previous collaboration with the accounting firm.
“We are thrilled to be joining Deloitte, especially given the strong synergies and great opportunities between Deloitte and JKVine,” said Mr Singh.
“We have collaborated together successfully in the past and this move is a natural evolution in our relationship. It also offers our people more career development opportunities, which is really important to us.”
Deloitte signalled earlier this year that it had a “pipeline” of future investments set for release to further build their capability.
This follows an external partnership with Thomson Reuters to automate the big four firm’s financial reporting and compliance for Australian corporations.
