The new service is set to replace the Business Portal and electronic superannuation audit tool (eSAT), which will be decommissioned at a yet-to-be-confirmed date later this year.
According to the ATO, the new service will offer a range of features, including making payment plans, retrieving copies of income tax returns, viewing ATO communication history and accessing the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House.
Online services for business will also allow owners to switch between ABNs with a single login, lodge activity statements and taxable payment annual reports, and view Single Touch Payroll reports.
“OSB has undergone extensive co-design with people in the community, including small business owners, approved self-managed super fund auditors, and other industry professionals. We have received feedback firsthand from those using the system, and made changes based on their recommendations,” said the Tax Office in an online update.
“Made with you, for you, our new system is in public beta testing, which means we want to hear your feedback. Simply complete the ‘Give us your feedback’ form located at the bottom of every page.
“We understand many are still impacted by the events of 2020 and we will continue to support you through this time of change.”
