ATOmate and Virtual Cabinet announce comprehensive integration to streamline ATO document processing and administration.
It’s a process that requires meticulous care and can take hours away from your administrative and accounting teams each day, but thanks to ATOmate accountants can now process, check, and distribute ATO documentation from tax office to client in a matter of minutes.
Now, the platform’s integration with industry leading document management platform, Virtual Cabinet, will streamline that process even further for VC users. The integration will significantly reduce data entry, double handling, and opportunities for human error by automating the core components of the ATO document handling process.
Upon receipt of ATO documentation by mail or via the ATO Tax Agent Portal, ATOmate will sort all correspondence, check if it matches against an estimate from the practice management platform, and then either automatically send it to the client, or flag it for review, depending on rules set by the practice.
The integration with Virtual Cabinet allows for a more streamlined approach to drafting, sending, and archiving correspondence by automatically preparing emails and letters, and filing copies of those directly back into the Virtual Cabinet platform – providing a complete and accurate record of what has been communicated.
Stan Corner, CEO of Business Automation Works (BAW), the company that has created ATOmate, recognizes the challenge practices face when adapting key business processes that are already woven into existing technology solutions.
“We know accounting firms are already doing a lot really well when it comes to technology, and by working closely with these fantastic providers we’re able to provide a solution that addresses one of the key frustrations at the back end of the compliance process and have that fit seamlessly into the existing tech stack,” Mr Corner said.
“It’s really important that practices are able to find solutions that work together to leverage a single source of truth, that are helping them overcome the raft of obligations and rules they need to follow rather than add to the clutter,” Mr Corner said.
Kathryn Koch, Key Account Manager for the ANZ region at Virtual Cabinet agrees, saying the growing cooperation amongst industry platforms to create robust integrations is a big win for accountants in practice.
“We know that a firm’s tech stack is growing rapidly, which is why it’s so important for providers to work together, ensuring we can continue to remove the friction of working across multiple platforms and allow users to truly streamline their key business processes,” Ms Koch said.
“By integrating with ATOmate, Virtual Cabinet users can now automate their ATO document processes, leverage their existing systems, and take back time for work that clients really value”, Ms Koch said.
The integration with Virtual Cabinet is one of a growing list of integrations for ATOmate, which also has comprehensive integrations with complimentary practice management platforms such as APS, Xero Practice Manager, Workflow Max, Greatsoft Cloud, MYOB, Reckon Elite, Sage Handisoft and others.
