MYOB has expanded its enterprise resource planning (ERP) department by acquiring two businesses – one in Melbourne and one in Perth.
The firm has bought the MYOB Greentree and Advanced practices of ERP and business intelligence software companies Endeavour Solutions Australia and Addax Business Solutions.
MYOB said the deal meant the two company’s ERP and business specialists would join MYOB’s enterprise division, adding capability and expertise to the Greentree Centre of Excellence and the firm’s in-house team of Advanced specialists.
MYOB general manager for enterprise, Kim Clarke, said that she was pleased to bring skilled experts into the fold.
“Anna and the team at Endeavour Solutions Australia have delivered high-quality advice, development services and impeccable customer support to the mid-market, and the skills and knowledge they will bring to MYOB are second-to-none,” said Ms Clarke.
“Likewise, David and his team [at Addax] have built a phenomenal business over the past couple of decades and it’s clear that their emphasis on customer relationships and open communication, not to mention strong technical capabilities, has translated into a strong, high performing business.
“I’m over the moon that we’ll be bringing the wide-ranging expertise of these two partners into MYOB as we build our own capabilities and I’m looking forward to our customers enjoying the benefits of their experience too.”
Chief executive of Endeavour Solutions Australia, Anna Rizio, said that while their customers will benefit from the additional support available through MYOB’s Greentree Centre of Excellence, creating direct connections with the team behind platforms such as Advanced was a deciding factor.
“I’m thrilled that with MYOB they will have access to some of the best knowledge and expertise in this space,” said Ms Rizio.
“As well as our customers, the future of our people was also a priority as we move forward with this decision and I’m very excited to be offering our team members the chance to develop their skills and open up new career possibilities in an organisation that can help them maximise their talents even further.”
Addax Business Solutions founder and CEO, David Sankey, said the move, by 19 of his staff, to join MYOB was based upon meeting the needs of its customers.
“There is a clear vision for the future with MYOB and this deal sees our Greentree and MYOB Advanced customers armed with access to greater product support and expertise which will be crucial as they seek to grow their businesses,” said Mr Sankey.
“But it’s not just about our customers – the benefits for our team were also a strong consideration.
“Now, our people will have more career development pathways and opportunities to stretch their skills, available to them.”
These two acquisitions bring to eight the number of enterprise division partners MYOB has snapped up in the past year.
