MYOB has rebranded its advanced accounting software offering “MYOB Advanced” to “MYOB Acumatica” as part of its expanded partnership with the US enterprise resource planning (ERP) company, it announced in a statement today.

MYOB said the partnership with Acumatica meant its mid-market users would now have direct access a global user community, additional resources and networking opportunities.

It said the partnership would also rename its other mid-market solutions like MYOB Advanced Payroll and Advanced Workforce Management, which would become MYOB Acumatica – Payroll and MYOB Acumatica – Workforce Management, respectively.

“What we’ve created for local business truly meets the modern demands of the mid-market,” executive general manager Kim Clarke said.

“With even more capability in the roadmap still to come and now with exclusive access to the customer-focused Acumatica Community, we’ve never been better positioned to help mid-market businesses in the region scale their business and operations,” she said.

The company said MYOB Acumatica was designed specifically for mid-sized businesses that employed between 20 to 1,000 staff to connect finance, sales, inventory, production and people workflows in one place.

MYOB had been the exclusive partner of Acumatica for the Australian and New Zealand markets for over a decade, it said, used by brands such as skincare label Kosmea Australia, builders Woolcock Group, fibre optic cabling and data business Codecom and manufacturer ControlFab since its launch.

“This innovation pedigree from Acumatica is reinforced by our very own Australian and New Zealand development, service and support teams who not only localise the platform, but have also built specific employee workflows to complete our offering - ensuring it is the only platform that natively connects customer, employee, operational and financial workflows all in one place,” Clarke said.

Acumatica chief executive John Case said the “new chapter” of the partnership between the two companies would build on its strong success.

“We look forward to working more deeply with MYOB to deliver the latest features and capabilities that will enable more regional businesses to achieve their growth ambitions and thrive in today’s digital economy,” Case said.

Established in 2008, Acumatica’s ERP platform is used by more than 10,000 businesses globally. The company claimed to have been the fastest-growing cloud ERP provider for the past eight years.
