The cloud software provider has partnered with payments portal Square in the hopes of cutting significant time on manual data entry.
The integration of Square Reader within Quickbooks allows business owners to accept card payments without long contracts and hidden fees, and also grants users the ability to import invoices, GST and discounts automatically into the Quickbooks Online platform.
Jackie Brian, acting country manager and managing director at Intuit Australia, said the partnership is part of the company’s strategy to offer world-leading and innovative technology to small businesses and their trusted financial advisers.
Ms Brian explained Intuit is committed to providing the right level of integration with key apps used by small businesses to help them manage their finances.
“There’s significant pressure on small businesses to do more with less, so it’s important they choose a platform that connects with apps that simplify business operations. Our customers tell us time is their most valuable resource. Sync with Square will help business owners focus their efforts on running their business, instead of doing the books,” she said.
The announcement comes as fellow cloud provider Xero also announced its integration with the Square Reader platform.
