The Adelaide-based firm has appointed Nick Grieve, a chartered accountant who has held positions at Elders and Telecom New Zealand, director of its newly created cloud and digital services division.
Mr Grieve, who has been with Perks for 18 months, will be responsible for further integration of clients’ business with the firm’s cloud-based accounting systems.
“It is critical that businesses understand how they should utilise cloud accounting, because it is the way of the future and, in the coming years, will be the only way to operate. Businesses that don’t embrace change will ultimately be left behind,” Mr Grieve said.
As early adopters of cloud-based technology and its uses within the accounting profession, Perks’ managing director Mark Roderick believes Mr Grieves is best suited to take the division to “the next level”.
“We were one of the early adopters in terms of understanding the benefits that cloud accounting could deliver to our clients, which was the impetus behind the development of our Xeppo technology and why we’ve created this new division,” Mr Roderick said.
